rainy day songs...

i have two personalities (well, at least). one sets in with the fall--relaxed and mellow and pensive. i want to take long quiet walks in the fall leaves, drink chamomile tea, hang out in bookstores, reminisce, read good classic lit, listen to slow jazz and acoustic music...all that sort of thing. here are two songs i love this fall, though neither are new. this song is so i'm-looking-out-the-window-on-a-cold-rainy-day. lors introduced me to the garden state soundtrack when she took me to the airport at 5 am. (you can check out josh's blog on the left to read a little about our trip to chicago, although i WILL write something. i WILL! ) and one night driving home from the library i heard this. it was just the right mood, and now i love it. and how could i forget this song i got from katie when we were in austin. reminds me of sitting in their place, so relaxed, with such good friends and feeling so content, and also of running in the mist at my sisters place in houston, along the path by the river, just thinking about things...
i want to hear what your favorite rainy day songs are. you know the type.

beautiful! i liked them both, i loved the first one (although i had to block the images so i could just hear the song--so so pretty.

i wish i had a song to recommend. tonight was the first time i've had any time to myself (meaning toddler tunes weren't on) and i listened to old favorites, postal service give me some mind numbing beats.

i'll have to get that soundtrack.

Hmmm, I guess the last would be my favorite tune, but the words don't apply much. He has a great voice though! I'd like to hear something else of his. The others might have been ok...if it was raining. :) Michael Buble is my favorite right now, so Home is a good slow/rainy-day song as is You are not alone. Can't get enough of either, though my true favorite of his isn't sad at all, Everything. Know that one? Fun. Anywho, look forward to seeing you Sat. Good luck surviving until then.
